The support worker showed warmth, empathy and understanding towards the young person’s emotions and addressed their needs and acknowledged their feelings. The support worker encouraged the young person to draw out the positives of what was a very upsetting and emotional situation for them.  The support worker addressed the young person’s needs and responded accordingly.
